Today was the Living History Farms Run as well as Survivor Cross. Corrine opted to do the run, which was a 10k or similar, on an offroad course that included a good number of sheer-sided creek crossings. I've seen youtube videos of past years which made it look like a complete and total mud swim. There were a few slightly muddy people but it's been so dry that it didn't appear to be too bad.
7,500 people mass starting, it was quite a production. The staging area was plenty large but the course was designed to funnel down into a 15' wide path shortly after the start, which was a total joke - timing was done on the gun time so if you didn't start at the front, you got screwed out of ten minutes while you walked extremely slowly through the start area.
This event had everything - there was even a special doping area.
The mustard was able to hold on with the start group for the first sprint but I never saw him again later.
